Explore Skåne : Girl trip to Ales Stenar.
My friend the healthy food geek Natalie messaged that she is finished her job earlier than expected in Ystad and invited to just come to Ystad and we will see where we go. We chose to go to Ales Stenar, but the direct bus from Ystad to Ales Stenar had left and the next one was quite late. Another bus driver said he can take us closer but then we will have to get to there by ourselves. Well, whatever let's go. To get to Ales Stenar we hitchhiked to the village Kåsaberg. It took us longer than we expected because it is just one-way road really... At the end of the road, there is that village which we need. We purely experienced the "cold distant Swedish attitude". Natalie is Swedish herself, but a very non-likely one, she has lived in many places and represents more this "new open-minded generation the world citizen" kind "Swede", so, even to her it seemed strange that it did not go so easy with hitchhiking a car until a woman with her daughter picked up! And so off we went.
I had not been at Ales Stenar yet, but it's a very nice, magical spot. So open wide space that literally can be "hugged" by the wind. And the view! Ah, the scenery of the sea is the best there! High coast and far, far, far open view into Neverland!
We had a nice spontaneous girl daytrip together. It's perfect location to go for a day trip from Malmö, yet have to be aware that in summer the bus is still not running that often as would one expect when a high tourist season... So, be aware it's going to be a bit uncomfortable ride back when you want to spend the whole day and go by the last bus (I think around 17.00)... A bit strange system, but it's possible to do and enjoy the scenery and the village of seafood dishes!
