Explore Skåne: Celebrating the 6th of June // Windy Trelleborg + dinner at the garden.

Celebrating the 6th of June

Three Latvians goes to Trelleborg.

The usual team - three of us, decided we need to spend a day together exploring Skåne, to go somewhere where all of us have not really been to explore. To me it was Trelleborg, Liga and Ina kind of had been there, but not for tourist reasons. Also, Ina made her architecture-urban designer's city project here and she wanted to show us the possible plan for the city in real. So, Trelleborg it was on the National Swedish day!

When we arrived there, we found out we missed some national days festivities. While we walked by the stage, someone from the workers threw a bouquet of flowers to Ina (she was dressed in her blue skirts which looked very national day suitable:) )

We didn't really have a plan, as we visited the Tourist Office, but it was useless, not so much information about Trelleborg, that we just walked around and spotted spots what Liga or Ina knew. For example, visiting the Trelleborg Viking fortress. It's some remains of an old Viking castle which dates back to 980 AD. There is a Viking museum too, and it's for free, but on a national day, it was closed. So, we just wandered around. Walked to the area which Ina designed (not yet done in reality, still on a paper), and enjoyed the view of the open sea. We didn't have a chance to visit any cosy local cafe, as the trains were not running that often and we had to get back for dinner at Liga's garden.

So, just a calm Swedish national day with my Latvian team. Well, calm without the party mode, but lots of laughter at Ina (sorry) for having the big fluffy skirt which kept flying in the strong wind by the sea. :))

And finished the day having a dinner out in the garden.
