Update of 2021

Oh, it’s been such a long time since I’ve been consistent with updating my photo adventures here. It’s been a very fruitful year during my time away. So many amazing things have happened that I honestly don’t know where to begin to bring this blog back to life.

To be honest, I’ve always written these stories for myself—for the future me—to remember the good moments during the darker times. This blog became a way to keep noticing the good and positive in my life, especially when I was living under a lot of emotional abuse and pressure from someone I thought loved me. But it turned out that I loved him, and he couldn’t love anyone but himself. Well, better to realize that sooner rather than later and get out ASAP.

My life has changed so much since the version of me who wrote about all those everyday introvert adventures. I still share and update my photo stories, but I’m not as consistent as I used to be. Now, life is filled with so many good emotions and moments that my artistic soul doesn’t feel the need to search for "the good in the bad" anymore. Looking back, I realize that approach was a bit like lying to myself. I’d create moments that seemed happy on the surface, just to cover up the bad emotions, telling myself that everything was fine.

But I wasn’t being honest with myself. That’s something that happens to naive people like me, people who want to see the good in even the worst people, situations, or surroundings—whatever you want to call it.

On another note, the recent updates to Blogger have been less user-friendly for photo-focused blogs. It started taking more time to work with the platform, and I found myself wondering if I should look for a new space to share my stories. Maybe I will. I’m not sure yet. But here it is—my first post after a very long silence.

Oh, and I’ve been actively sharing my new life in Stockholm on Instagram and YouTube! Here’s my latest video: running around the forest right on the doorstep of my new home just outside Stockholm.

One more last thing, I have written several new articles for THE NEWBIE GUIDE TO SWEDEN blog. I love the one about my cycling trip! https://www.thenewbieguide.se/author/elina/
