Explore Skåne: Skåneleden : Brösarp woods.

This is the raspberry forest.

Life is inherently risky. There is only one big risk you should avoid at all costs, and that is the risk of doing nothing. Denis Waitley
What is a good way to enjoy a weekend in the summer? Hike! Camping! Skåneleden! Skåne adventure. A happy weekend when it was sunny and warm in Skåne, where you can feel all loved by Mother Nature again.

We knew we should go to and discover Brösarp woods this time. When we said it to our friends, everyone said: “oh it’s sooooo nice and beaaauuuitful there!” So we were happy. I decided to take ettap 6 Kivik - Vantalängan.
As it seemed that the weekend will be warm, I thought it is better to begin our hike at the beach and go “Into the Wild”. Later both of us decided to go to Brösarp (bus #3 from Simrishamn) and start from there until, perhaps, Verkasjön. So it was clear!

When we came to Brösarp, we followed the orange sign - Skåneleden until “Torpare Bridge”. At the Torpare Bridge, we made a mistake. We turned right, not left. We found the sign “Verkasjön,” but I do not know why we started walking on the right path. I noticed it later! Sometime later on the road, I asked, “Hmm, do you think this is the right path?”
“Yes!”
“okay as you say it, okay … but I thought we should have already found the lake .. hmm. Whatever maybe I’m wrong.”

We picked many wild raspberries! We enjoy the silence of the forest. And we only met four people on the trail since we started our hike …. We thought it strange that we have seen only one group, no more people, but okay it was nice for us. Sometimes I thought that I heard something in the bushes, I was a little, little, little bit scared because I felt we are not on the right path and we had not met other hikers. I trusted my partner that it’s okay. It was funny when we found a map of the area. Then I laughed and said, “I knew it! I knew we wander the second path! Ha! So where are we?” There was no “you are here” on a map, so it was a bit difficult to understand where we are. We stood next to Draka Mölla park. And we noticed that we hike up not down, so, where will we be tonight? I was a little worried because I had a plan that we will walk Ettap 6 where are two shelters with water. We did not have a lot of water with us because of that plan. Now I think huh what shall we do, we could not drink all the water we needed it for food too. And it was a really hot Skåne summer day! Uchsh! But okay, it was not a big problem.

Dräckamolla: Drakamöllans grazed slopes with herbs such as helichrysum and field sip. Exclusive species oriole, tree and Tawny Pipit also thrive here. I thought it was a great to dry place and we said more cows (they looked angry!). After passing Dräckamolla, we found a nice place to take a break and eat something. The lunch-dinner was sooooo delicious! Mmm! Best camping food!

We still did not know where we are or where we wander? We talked about it and decided “okay, it’s an adventure, we should just wander and look later. Maybe we meet someone on the path?”. Next trail was the forest, I felt it was a bit like “fairy tale forest”. We found a small village (Myrestad), but the name of the village did not help us. We just followed Skåneleden and thought that we should find another map later. (No, we did not.)

Picked up more raspberries for breakfast. Admired the beautiful nature scenery. Breathed the fresh air. It was a warm evening. I started to feel a little tired because we thought we had walked perhaps 20km this. We thought we have to keep walking because we were just in the countryside, no woods where we could camp. It was nearly 21:30, we thought that we should hike to 21:00, but we had found no place for camping as we just walked on the asphalt road (still it was Skåneleden). Suddenly Skåneleden turned into the woods! Yes! Both of us felt tired, so, now we can search for a camping site. Yes, it was a nice little trail. Later we walked out of the woods, and he understood where we are because he had cycled around here with his cycling club before. Now it was time for sleep! Nice place for a tent, funny birds and cows sounds out there, and no other people around us. Perfect!

The next day, figured out where we are. We wandered ettap 7B: Agusa - Torpare Bridge, but on the contrary - we began to Torpare Bridge and slept near the Lillehemsvägen road. We walked no more if we had, we could have found Agusa camping shelter, but not this time. The next day, we needed to be in another place to celebrate his granny’s birthday. So, here we got a nice short adventure, everything was fine except due to the heat we were a little thirsty, but not yet too thirsty. Otherwise, everything was good, and it was so nice nature that we thought we should walk all the path another time! And camp again at the same place to hear that funny bird - peepeepeeeh! :)
